Where Every Family Matters

A Bible-Based Education with LifeWise Academy

LifeWise Academy exists to positively impact students, schools and communities through a Bible-based character education program for public school students.

Our classes focus on core themes of the Bible, what we refer to as the “main and plain things” of Scripture, with emphasis on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each lesson reviews a Bible passage as well as a “Living LifeWise” character trait, such as respect, love or kindness.

The primary distinctive feature of LifeWise is that it operates during the school day, thereby engaging the students who are most unlikely to attend before and after-school programs due to transportation, extracurricular and other issues.

LifeWise operates under a 1952 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allows religious instruction during school hours. Programs are privately funded, off school property and parent permitted.

WHO BENEFITS?

STUDENTS: Independent research conducted by Thomas P. Miller and Associates in 2023 found that schools with LifeWise programs report notable enhancements in student conduct, academic engagement and school morale.

FAMILIES: Feedback from parents consistently shows that LifeWise helps foster values like respect, responsibility and self-discipline. Overwhelmingly, parents believe that LifeWise contributes positively to their child’s overall development and recommend the program to others.

COMMUNITIES:  Increased engagement from parents, community leaders and local organizations fosters a supportive environment for students. Entire communities benefit from the long-term investment in creating a generation of citizens with stronger morals and character.

LifeWise Rutherford County is serving several schools in the Rutherford County School District and the Murfreesboro City School District–and expanding to reach even more families. Join the movement to reach the next generation with the hope of the gospel.

Give your student a strong foundation of faith and character during the school day, at no cost to you.
