Model trains have long been a part of the holiday season! Sometimes Santa himself will connect a model train track around a Christmas tree for a big show on Christmas morning. Get into the holiday spirit when All Aboard for Trains! opens at the Adventure Science Center on Friday, Nov 17 and continues through Monday, Jan. 15. So there’s plenty of time to get a visit in.
Eye-Level Fun for Kids
The ASC’s Lionel O train will run a double loop track and kids can control elements on the display with buttons and levers. The train will travel through a city, roll into farmlands and chug past a replica of a county fair. Another Lionel O train — built especially for young kids — travels through a winter wonderland at eye level. Kids will also enjoy a Scales Mountain Layout where different scales of trains will operate.
Admission to All Aboard for Trains! is included in a General Admission fee. General Admission is FREE for members of all ages and toddlers. Non-members ages 2 – 12 costs $11.95; teens and adults ages 13+ costs $15.95. The Adventure Science Center is located at 800 Fort Negley Blvd. in Nashville.
