Big news for Ann Carroll School of Dance (ACSD) this year as it moves to a new facility. ACSD's two current studios merge together under the new roof at 93 Seaboard Lane in Cool Springs in early August. The new 12,500-square-foot studio includes additional sprung dance floors, ample parking and larger studio spaces. It will be great to have all locations under one roof, too.
What once started as ballet and tap lessons with neighborhood kids has grown to teach more than 800 middle Tennessee students 50 years later. ACSD celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020 with a commemorative dance recital at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. ACSD provides professional dance and performance instruction for ages 2 and older. There are 22 Companies in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and voice with membership through audition. The Companies represent the school at competitions, special shows, concerts and trips and with an opening number at its recital, too. ACSD also offers summer camps!
