On a mission to end bullying, The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully children’s book series expands its influence to include “You Belong” Camp for children.
The goal of The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully Foundation, Inc is “to inspire change through the arts by writing stories and music.” The camp also provides a safe-haven for those who have been bullied. It’s also a place of self-awareness for those who have bullied. The launch of the camp is a FREE event on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Peachtree Farms (4819 Murfreesboro Road, Arrington).
“You Belong” Camp Open House
Activities include live music, arts & crafts, face painting, horse therapy and more. In addition, kids enjoy re-enactment scenes from The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully book series. The scenes describe different bullying situations and how to address them. Special live musical performances include Nashville recording artist Olivia Bey, Jimmy Mattingly, Doug Lawler and Audra McLaughlin (of The Voice). Furthermore, the Camp serves as a sanctuary for children with ADD, ADHD and autism. These kids learn to build confidence through various activities, too.
This launch event is open to the public and for children of all ages.
