Williamson County’s Bravo Creative Arts Center, the non-profit performing arts organization that produces family oriented theater, is holding auditions for Mary Poppins. Roles are available for kids in grades first through 12th grades and rehearsals will be at Bravo (227 Hillsboro Road, Franklin) in February, March and April. The tuition for participating is $325. Mary Poppins will be staged at Franklin Special School District’s Performing Arts Center April 15 – 21.
For nearly 18 years, Bravo has produced fully staged musicals at local theaters. According to the Bravo website, a typical Bravo cast includes kids from at least 40 Middle Tennessee schools. Lead by Bravo founder and Managing Director Lissa McHugh, Mary Poppins, auditions are by video submission only. Kids should sing a song of their choice to best highlight their voice. In addition, they should perform one of the scenes from the musical.
