After the tragic accident with Captain Jeff Kuss of the Blue Angels in June 2016, the town of Smyrna came together to raise over $1 million dollars to build a memorial for him and his family. The Great Tennessee Air Show has been part of Smyrna history for some time now and local families feel the Blue Angels are a part of their own family. Smyrna was sad to hear that the Blue Angels wouldn’t return in 2018. However, after the International Council of Air Shows convention in Las Vegas, the Blue Angels confirm they are indeed returning to Smyrna!
