Brain Camps at Learning RX

How to avoid summer brain drain? Sign your kids up for Summer Brain Camp!

Quick! How best to avoid an academic summer slide for your kids? Keep them learning! LearningRX, located in Brentwood at 5554 Franklin Pike, is offering Summer Brain Camps for kids ages 8-14 this month and in July, giving kids a chance to discover their “smart” aptitude.
“Brain Camp challenges kids with a variety of fun activities that promote problem solving, teach memory strategies, and exercise core brain skills,” says Adam Butler, director and co-owner of LearningRX Nashville-Brentwood. “In fact,” Butler says,”one of the activities will be to learn the first 20 elements on the periodic table using a fun memorization strategy of numbers and images.”
Brain Camp participants will also learn how to set goals, compete in brain games for prizes and awards, discover principles regarding attitudes, work ethic, motivation and more and participate in fast-paced games designed to exercise core brain skills including memory, visual processing and logic & reasoning.

Two camps are available:

• MAY 31 – JUNE 3:
At LearningRX in Brentwood. $224 for four days. Register by calling 615-953-8899.

• JULY 25 – 29
At Montgomery Bell Academy (401 Harding Road, Nashville). $280 for five days. Register at http://clubs.bluesombrero/mba.
