Registration opens in late February for Special Kids’ summer day camp, Camp Ability of Special Kids. This Christian, seven-week camp in Murfreesboro is for children and youth with special needs ages 6 – 25. One-week camp sessions ($100) are held at North Boulevard Church of Christ in June and July allowing campers to participate in an interactive, social, fun environment. Camp counselors emphasize children’s abilities rather than disabilities and find ways for all campers to participate in activities. Registration is first-come, first-serve and fills up quickly.
