Where Every Family Matters

Carol for Fannie Battle

Warm up your pipes and spread Christmas cheer for a cause.

One of Nashville's greatest ways of getting into the holiday spirit is by participating in the annual Caroling for Kids initiative that supports the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children.

It's super easy to do. Your family or any kind of group can sign up to go door-to-door in select neighborhoods to bring holiday cheer to homes by knocking on doors and singing Christmas carols. It's a fundraising effort in which carolers collect monetary donations along the way. Caroling for Kids takes place Dec. 1 – 24. All you have to do is assemble your group, sign up online and select the area of town/streets you want to visit. Fannie Battle's website includes all the instructions and a digital songbook — you can also pick up supplies at Fannie Battle (108 Chapel Ave., Nashville).
