Actor and singer-songwriter Tommy Howell is launching a musical residency like no other next month at the Nashville City Winery.
You might have known the actor and musician previously by his credited name, C. Thomas Howell — yep, he’s the guy who played “Ponyboy” in 1983’s The Outsiders, co-starred in Red Dawn and made his film debut at age 15 in a little movie called E.T.
40 years and many roles later, Howell has planted roots in Nashville and is now stepping out as a singer-songwriter. Last month, he released his debut album, “American Storyteller,” a blend of country, rock and blues produced by Roger Miller’s son, Dean Miller.
On the heels of that release, Howell has planned an ambitious 24-week residency at City Winery Nashville, and he’s bringing his friends from Hollywood along for the ride.
Here’s the first five shows of the Tommy Howell residency:
- May 13 – Cast of Cobra Kai
- May 19 – Charlie Sheen (Two and A Half Men/Red Dawn)
- May 26 – Kevin Dillon (Entourage/Platoon)
- June 2 – E.T. Cast Reunion
- June 9 – Adam Carolla (The Adam Carolla Show/The Man Show)
Stay tuned, the residency will be announcing 19 more special guests in the coming weeks. Tickets for the general public will go on sale beginning March 17, 2023. Tickets and information here.
Shows are at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. CST and Meet and Greet options will be available for most guests. For more information visit tommyhowellmusic.com.
