Chopin Piano Competition Set for Oct. 14-15

A two-day celebration of music, culture and exceptional talent at Vanderbilt Blair School of Music.

The enchanting melodies of Chopin will fill the air as young piano pianists from around the world gather for the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition, set to take place on October 14-15, 2023 at Vanderbilt Blair School of Music.

This prestigious event celebrates remarkable talent, showcasing the passion and dedication of 26 exceptionally talented pianists, all between the ages of 6 and 22.

About the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition

Hailing from ten different countries, these gifted musicians will grace the stage with their extraordinary performances, seeking to captivate both the judges and the audience with their interpretations of Chopin’s timeless compositions. 

“We are thrilled to host such a diverse and talented group of young pianists at the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition,” said Joshua Izzard, the event’s organizer. “This competition is not only a testament to the enduring appeal of Chopin’s music but also a celebration of the universal language of music that transcends borders.”
