CMA Fest at The Hall

Lots of country music fun and activities fill downtown Nashville June 9 – 12 during the annual CMA Music Festival, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has lots of happenings, including fun programs for kids. The Hall is kicking off the festival’s celebration a bit earlier in the week with programs starting Monday, June 6.

Here’s what your family can look forward to during CMA Fest at The Hall:

FOR KIDS

Creative Zone: Make a Backstage Pass
June 6 – 12 from 10- a.m. – 1 p.m.
All ages can make a custom backstage pass for the concert of their dreams during this drop-in program.

Family Program: Beginner Fiddle
Friday, June 10 from 1 – 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 – 2:15 p.m.
Ages 7 and older can learn the history of the fiddle and basic techniques to play it.

Family Program: Guitar 101 — Taylor Swift Style
Saturday, June 11: 1 – 1:25 p.m., 1:30 – 1:55 p.m., 2 – 2:25 p.m., 2:30 – 2:55 p.m.
Musician/Teacher Todd Woolsey teaches kids ages 7 and older how to play a Taylor Swift song on guitar. Guitars are provided, or kids can bring their own.

* These programs are free with museum admission.

* Admission to performances, interviews, songwriter sessions and film screenings are included with museum admission. There is no fee for autograph signings, but a purchase of artists’ merchandise from the Museum Store is required in order to participate.

Regular admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is $24.95 adults, $14.95 ages 6 – 17, free ages 5 and younger. You’ll get $4 off your Hall tickets by showing your CMA Music Fest badge or tickets (or get $10 off museum membership). You can also opt for the Fan Fair X Bundle — the $39.95 ticket includes all four days (June 9 – 12) at Fan Fair X (at Music City Center where all the artist meet-and-greets and other activities during CMA Fest take place) along with a single-day admission to the Hall of Fame (good thru Dec. 31, 2016).
