You can get a free tree seedling to plant in your yard. The catch? You must plant your seedling on Saturday, Feb. 24 and share photos and videos of your efforts on social media. The Tennessee Environmental Council’s goal is to have 250,000 native tree seedlings planted across Tennessee on the same day as part of the largest community tree planting event in Tennessee history — and largest in the United States, too. Registration for trees runs now through Thursday, Feb. 1.
