Where Every Family Matters

Connectus Health Offers Free Pediatric Physicals, Immunizations Starting Feb. 22

Children ages 0-18 can receive free services at both Nashville clinic locations.

With Metro Nashville Public Schools continuing the transition to in-person instruction over the next couple of weeks, Connectus Health is offering free pediatric physicals, sports physicals and immunizations beginning Monday, Feb. 22 at both of its Nashville clinics. Each child will also receive a free backpack with school supplies at his or her visit.

All school-required pediatric immunizations will be administered if needed to children and adolescents 18 years and younger at Connectus Health’s Vine Hill and Priest Lake clinics. Uninsured patients are welcomed, and there will be no out-of-pocket costs to any patient. Appointments are recommended and can be made by calling 615-292-9770.

Healthcare clinics nationwide have continued to see a decline in routine and preventative visits among both adults and children as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We want to emphasize that it is so important to prioritize these preventative physicals and immunizations, especially during a pandemic,” Caroline Portis-Jenkins, co-CEO of Connectus Health, said. “We have implemented every safety measure at our clinics to protect our patients and staff, and we strongly urge people to make appointments and take advantage of these free services for their children.”

As the pandemic continues and winter illnesses ramp up alongside it, Connectus Health has also begun conducting curbside COVID-19, strep and flu tests. Connectus team members will meet patients at their cars outside the clinics in order to safely conduct these tests. Testing appointments can be made by calling 615-292-9770.

In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Diaper Bank, and Mother to Mother, Connectus is also able to provide anyone in need with nonperishable foods, fresh produce, personal hygiene items, diapers (sizes newborn to 6), and essential clothing and supplies for children (ages 0-10). Those interested in using these services should contact Adrienne Morgan, Community Resource Coordinator for Connectus Vine Hill, at 615-292-9770, ext. 1448, or Lynnette Brown, Community Resource Coordinator for Connectus Priest Lake, at  615-292-9770, ext. 1205.

Connectus Vine Hill is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Its Priest Lake location is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about Connectus Health, visit www.connectus.org or call (615) 292-9770.
