Mark your calendars for Rutherford Parent’s 12th Annual Fall Kids Fest at The Avenue Murfreesboro. This FREE family festivity takes place Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. It features more than 40 local vendor booths representing area businesses and services.
NEW THIS YEAR: COSTUME CONTESTS
Costumed kids must pre-register at the Rutherford Parent booth at the Fall Kids Fest and line up for a costume parade at designated times. Winners will be randomly selected from the entries and announced at the end of each parade.
Baby Costume Contest: (ages 6 months – 2 years)
• Pre-register by 10:15 a.m.
• Line up AT THE STAGE for costume parade at 10:30 a.m.
• 10 winners receive one toy of which are chosen and handed out at random. Learn more about the toys on Early Learning Toys for Baby (value: $9.99 – $89.99)
Big Kids Costume Contest: (ages 3 – 10)
• Pre-register by 11 a.m.
• Line up AT THE STAGE for costume parade at 11:15 a.m.
• One winner receives a Nashville Zoo membership for a family of four (value: $140).
You MUST be present at the event to win!
MORE FAMILY FUN
Kids will love trick-or-treating (from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) all around The Avenue, too. More kid fun includes inflatables, a rock-climbing tower, face painting, a balloon artist and more. Kids can swing by the “pumpkin patch” to pick up a free pumpkin while supplies last.
Stop by the Rutherford Parent booth to register for door prizes. In addition, your family can enjoy stage demonstrations and performances, including the popular Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers’ pirate band (pictured at bottom of page).
