Where Every Family Matters

Currey Ingram Offers Tuition Assistance, Rolling Admission

It is never too late to start learning at Currey Ingram!

Currey Ingram Academy was founded as Westminster School of Nashville in 1968 by Carol and Bobby Henderson. Their son, Britt, was not succeeding in his school, and Carol and Bobby felt they had exhausted all options for educating him. Administrators, educators, parents, and community leaders came together to develop an innovative learning program and started Westminster School of Nashville. Thanks to a gift from Stephanie Currey Ingram and John Rivers Ingram, the school moved to its current campus and became Currey Ingram Academy in 2002. Over the course of more than 50 years, hundreds of students have been able to learn in an environment that promoted their strengths and supported their differences.

The mission of Currey Ingram is to provide an exemplary K-12 day school program and boarding school program for grades 9-12 that empowers students with learning differences to achieve their fullest potential. We settle for nothing less than being a premier educational environment for students with language-based learning challenges, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, executive functioning and processing deficits, mild anxiety disorders, high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and more.

Students are set up to thrive because of Currey Ingram’s focus on individualized attention. In fact, the average student-teacher ratio is 4.5:1 school-wide. With evidence-based instruction, Individualized Learning Plans (ILP), and occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists on-staff, we provide the tools necessary to support each student’s needs.

Outside of our educational program, students enjoy no-cut arts, athletics and extracurricular activities. Currey Ingram’s campus includes features such as music, theater and art studios, a professional sound recording studio, five tennis courts, forest trails, and a creek. Whatever the student’s passion, they are able to pursue it at Currey Ingram.

The 83-acre campus is located in an idyllic, pastoral area of Brentwood, TN. The campus is just 11 miles from downtown Nashville and eight miles from the Franklin/Cool Springs area. Over the years, families from 33 states and nine countries have cited the school as a major factor in moving to the Nashville area.

Our campus also includes a childcare program for infants through Pre-K; a college counseling center; a Diagnostic Center, open to Currey Ingram students and the public for psychoeducational evaluations and consultations; and so much more.

Currey Ingram Academy is located at 6544 Murray Lane, Brentwood, TN 37027. For more information, call 615-507-3242 or visit
