Guys need the opportunity to just be guys, and Deer Run Camps & Retreats in Thompson’s Station understands that in a big way. That’s why the local retreat center is currently gearing up for the 12th Annual Father-Son Adventure Weekend, taking place Friday Aug. 25 – Sunday Aug. 27. Registration is going on now with cost determined by your choice of accommodation. The weekend is for all ages.
What’s In Store for Guys
The Father-Son Adventure Weekend is full of activities that run the gamut: football challenges, a wiffle ball home run derby and an amateur fishing tournament scratch the surface of possibilities. Dads and boys of all ages can also participate in optional (extra cost) activities like the zip line, aqua park, canoes and kayaks, archery, BB guns and more. The father-son package includes two nights of lodging, worship and speaker sessions, an event shirt and five hearty meals.

Upcoming Fall Family Events
2017 FAMILY CAMP LABOR DAY WEEKEND, Sept. 1 – 4
The three-night family camp begins Friday night and ends Monday at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $359 per person for three family members and $229 for each additional member. Registration includes activities, private room in upscale lodging, nine meals and a t-shirt for each participant.
2017 MOTHER-DAUGHTER WEEKEND, Sept. 15 – 17
Laugh, talk and enjoy just being together doing fun things. The weekend package includes two nights, five meals, an event t-shirt, recreation, crafts and mother-daughter sessions.
2017 MARRIED COUPLES ROMANCE WEEKEND, Nov. 17 – 19
Spend time for intentional intimacy without the interruptions and to-do lists of life. The weekends provide relaxation, speaker sessions, activities and five meals. Retreat takes place at The Lodge at Deer Run.
