CAMP TPAC is a weekday summer camp for ages 8–16 that invites young people to explore creativity, curiosity, and confidence through immersive arts experiences in the heart of downtown Nashville. Hosted inside the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Camp TPAC offers a fun, welcoming environment where campers can try something new, connect with peers, and experience the joy of the arts in a way that feels engaging, inclusive, and accessible.
Each week of Camp TPAC is thoughtfully designed around exploration and growth. Campers are introduced to a variety of artistic disciplines, such as movement, music, storytelling, design, and behind-the-scenes production, encouraging them to try something new, stretch their creativity, and express themselves in ways that feel accessible and engaging. No prior arts experience is required; Camp TPAC is designed for young people of all interests and abilities, not just those who see themselves as performers.
Throughout the week, campers work together in a supportive, collaborative setting where curiosity is encouraged and participation is celebrated. They learn through experimenting with ideas, solving creative challenges, and building skills like teamwork, communication, and self-confidence along the way. The focus is on the process, allowing campers to grow at their own pace while discovering what excites them.
Each week culminates in a Friday showcase performance, where campers share what they’ve learned with friends and family. These performances are a joyful celebration of creativity and effort, offering campers the opportunity to step into the spotlight and experience the pride that comes with completing a shared creative journey. Families are invited to attend, making the end-of-week performance a meaningful moment of connection and accomplishment.
Camp TPAC’s setting adds to the magic. Campers spend their days inside Nashville’s premier performing arts venue, gaining a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on how live performances come to life. From stepping onto a stage to learning about the many roles that make productions possible, campers experience the performing arts from the inside out.
Rooted in TPAC’s belief that the arts are for everyone, Camp TPAC creates a space where young people feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Offered in weekday sessions throughout the summer, the program provides families with a creative, enriching option that blends fun, learning, and community leaving campers with new skills, new friendships, and memories that last well beyond the final curtain.
