Founded in 1915 as Peabody Demonstration School, USN models the best educational practices. The Edgehill Campus in Midtown Nashville is on 7 acres bordered by Vanderbilt University. It comprises six buildings, including a three-story library, two gymnasiums, an indoor pool, a fitness center, an arts building, an outdoor classroom, and a playground. The 81-acre River Campus provides additional athletic facilities & fields as well as space for naturalist journeys & science research. Of its 1,075+ students, 37 percent are students of color, representing 51 countries of origin. USN gives over $5 million in need-based financial aid to one in five students.
