Discovery Center is going uncorked by combining two popular events for parents on Saturday, May 14!

But soft, what light beer through yonder window breaks? Guests will find out at the Discovery Center’s combined Wine & Whiskey + Shakesbeer event happening Saturday, May 14, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The event — one of Middle Tennessee’s most extensive tasting experiences of the year — takes place at the Discovery Center’s serene Murfree Spring natural area and features theatrical performances by Murfreesboro Little Theatre and M-PROV and Inebriated Shakespeare, along with samples of a variety of local craft brews plus wines and whiskeys brought to you by Stones River Total Beverage. Cuisine will be available for purchase from local food vendors.

Event participants include: Abbey of the Emerald Rose, Cedar Glade Brews, Dark Humor Brewing, FatFinger Brewing, Franklin’s Fruit Tea, Frequency 528 Brewing, Hutton & Smith Brewing, Lazy Sunday Brewing, Marrowbone Creek Brewing, Mid-State Brewsters, MTSU Fermentation Science, My Roots, New Heights Brewing, Prohibition Home Brewing, Smackdab Brewing, Spread-Eagle Handcrafted Ales, Table of Cuba, Thompson Brood, Thorcraft Brewing, and Vitruvian Artisan Ales.

Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door and include entrance to the event, souvenir tasting glass and unlimited beverage samples. Designated driver tickets are $15. Proceeds for the event benefit the Discovery Center. If rain is forecast, the event will be held May 15. Attendees must be 21 or older.
