We've got more info on the infamous Disney+ streaming service coming later this year. According to What's On Disney Plus, we're going to see a LOT more than we originally thought.
Many parents are also Disney fans, having grown up in the world of VHS and Disney movies. It was exciting when a Disney movie was released from the "vault." This exercise continued to the DVD platform. But, what we learned is that all the feature films we know and love will be available on this new streaming service at some point.
At a recent annual shareholders meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that the service is set to launch later in the year. He says it will "combine what we call library product, movies, and television, with a lot of original product as well, movies and television." But, what Disney fans will be most excited about is the fact that Iger said Disney+ will house the ENTIRE Disney library shortly after the launch. But that's not all. Expect to see some new original content as well.
"And then, of course, we’re producing a number of original movies and original television shows as well that will be Disney-branded," said Iger.
That means, even the new stuff, like Captain Marvel, will be on the Disney+ service.
