Disney World Lightning Lane Passes: Book in Advance Starting 7/24

On July 24 you can start reserving Lightning Lane entry ahead of your stay!

If you’ve planned a Disney trip before you know it’s an all-consuming task. You need to learn park lingo, create itineraries between fantasy worlds and attractions and restaurants. Advance planning only takes you so far though. If you’ve ever spent your day updating the Disney app to score a good Lightning Lanes reservation knows that that lines eventually get you.
But starting July 24, Walt Disney World will let you book your Lightning Lane passes in advance of your trip.

Disney World Lightning Lane Passes: Book in Advance Starting 7/24

If you’ve used Disney’s Genie+ service before, it will now be known as the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It allows you to make up to three Lightning Lane selections per day in a theme park, and you can purchase them and reserve your ride times in advance of your visit. Lightning Lane Single Passes aren’t changing much — use them to secure a ride time on one in-demand attraction of your choice – but now you can purchase them and reserve your time before your trip.

How does it work in advance? Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can book Lightning Lane passes up to seven days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All park guests not staying in a Disney Resort can reserve times up to three days in advance.
