The Cynosport Dog Agility World Games is set to return to Murfreesboro, bringing together hundreds of dogs and dog lovers competing for coveted championship titles at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum (304B West Thompson Lane), October 15-19.
Hosted by the United States Dog Agility Association, Inc. (USDAA), this prestigious competition will feature the nation’s best in dog agility who qualified to compete from around the country and internationally, as well as top Tennessee competitors.
USDAA first introduced the Cynosport World Games in 2003 in Dallas, Texas, bringing together a variety of dog agility tournaments, including the Grand Prix of Dog Agility, the longest running tournament in North America, the Dog Agility Steeplechase and the Dog Agility Masters 3-Dog Team Championships.
Now in its 22nd year, competitors will be battling for the sport’s most coveted title in the Purina Pro Plan Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championship, more than $10,000 in prize money in the Purina Pro Plan Dog Agility Steeplechase, and championship titles and prizes in the Purina Pro Plan Dog Agility Masters Pairs, 3-Dog Team and Strategic Games Championships, and the Purina Pro Plan Masters Challenge Biathlon championships.
Spectators are also invited to watch a Fast CAT (Coursing Ability Test) event – a 100-yard dash where dogs race individually, chasing a lure and competing for the fastest time – hosted by the Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club on October 18 and 19.
