Where Every Family Matters

Donate for United Way’s ‘Stuff the Bus’ Event

With your help, fill more backpacks and give kids the supplies they need to succeed.

The United Way’s annual Stuff the Bus Collection Drive is going on in Rutherford County now through July 29th. The initiative collects community school supply and monetary donations to provide local students with school supplies. No donation is too small, and the initiative’s website details how, where and what you can do to contribute — including a list of needed materials — here

Donation collection days are at the following times and locations:

  • Saturday, July 27 at The Avenue Murfreesboro from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Monday, July 29 at Mitchell Neilson Primary from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The community Sort-a-thon Day, where volunteers will help stuff backpacks while enjoying a food truck and music, is:

  • Tuesday, July 30 at Mitchell Neilson Primary from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
