Families will have a chance to get an up-close look at trucks, emergency vehicles and other specialty equipment during Murfreesboro’s annual Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event for kids of all ages will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the World Outreach Church parking lot, located at 1921 New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro.
More than 20 vehicles will be available for children and families to explore, including construction and utility trucks, drones, an ambulance, fire engines, police vehicles, a helicopter and a boat.
Sponsored by the Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force, the event gives families an opportunity to see the vehicles and equipment used by public safety agencies and other organizations throughout the community.
A car seat safety check will also be available for parents and caregivers who want to have their child safety seats checked for proper installation.
Food vendors will be on site during the event.
