Artistic youth can participate in a juried art show taking place in October. Submissions are now open.

Got a high school student with a knack for art? All Middle Tennessee high schoolers with visual art talent can submit their work for consideration in the upcoming Nashville High School Art Show.

The Nashville High School Art Show will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 7 – 9 p.m. It's running concurrently with October's First Saturday Downtown Art Crawl.

Granite Life hosts the show in which students can submit work in any medium they like, including painting, drawing, sculpture, film, graphic design, digital, photography, mixed media and beyond.

The juried show will be held at Granite Test Prep (2409 21st Ave. S., Ste. 205, Nashville). The event will feature live jazz music and appetizers.

It's free for students to participate, and they can submit up to three pieces. The application deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 25 with preference given to those who submit their work earlier.
