Frist Family Sunday

On the second Sunday of each month head to the Frist Art Museum for kid-friendly programming, family tours, multisensory gallery experience and a visit to the Martin ArtQuest Gallery from 12 – 5 p.m. The cost is free for members and guests aged 18 and younger; gallery admission required for not-yet members.

Frist Family Sunday Schedule:

• Multisensory Exploration Station: noon–5:00 p.m.
  A Multisensory Exploration Station is available in the galleries and offers opportunities for visitors of all ages to touch, smell, and listen to materials and objects of varying textures, aromas, and sounds that relate to the featured exhibition.
• Family ARTlab: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
  Check out a drop-in Family ARTlab in Studio A! Create your own unique paper butterfly that actually flaps its wings! Just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month, this activity coincides with the great Monarch butterfly migration that happens every autumn. Millions of monarchs travel from the US and Canada all the way down to the Oyamel fir forests of Central Mexico to stay warm during the winter months. Can your butterfly fly all the way to Mexico in time for Día de los Muertos?
• Family Tours: 1:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
  Family Tours begin at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Ingram Gallery information desk.
• Martin ArtQuest will be open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Get creative and explore interactive art-making stations where you can try painting, printmaking, animation, and more!
• Sensory-Friendly Hour: noon–1:00 p.m.
  Explore the museum during a Sensory-Friendly Hour from noon to 1:00 p.m., when sound levels are lowered throughout the exhibitions and Martin ArtQuest.

Tickets are required for all visitors 19 and older ($20) either online or in person; admission is always free for guests ages 18 and younger.
