Check out the Middle Tennessee Pickle Festival, returning at Hop Springs (6790 John Bragg Hwy, Murfreesboro) on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features more than 150 vendors from six states, 15-plus food trucks, live music, eating and drinking competitions, and family activities including a free petting zoo, train rides, pony rides and face painting. Attendees can also browse handmade art, jewelry, candles and boutique items, along with creative pickle-themed food and drinks like pickle pizza, fried pickles and pickle pina coladas. The event costs $5 to enter (ages 10 and younger get in free). Admission is cash only.
