Fall Back Bolt for Sumner Teen Center

A local girl shows off her medal after crossing the finish line at the 2015 Fall Back Bolt benefiting the Sumner Teen Center. This year’s race is Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Sumner Teen Center in Gallatin (976 Grassland Place) provides a free space for middle and high school students to hang out, participate in recreational activities and experience different programs throughout the year. The center’s vision is to “create a future-focused community that engages youth in opportunities to nurture belonging, independence, resilience and social responsibility.”

The Sumner Teen Center is open Tue – Fri from 2 – 7 p.m. for all students; Fri from 7 – 10 p.m. for high-school students only.

The center’s big annual fundraiser takes place Saturday, Nov. 12. You can stretch your legs and get some exercise in the autumn air during the Fall Back Bolt. The race features three courses: five mile, 5K and one mile.

The Fall Back Bolt takes place at the Douglass Clark House (2115 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin) at 7:45 a.m. Registration is $20. For more info, or to sign up for the race, call 615-530-8248 or visit sumnerteencenter.org.
