A joyous — and classic! — way to get your kids into the spirit of giving back during the holiday stretch is by participating in Fannie Battle Caroling for Kids.
This year mark’s the 100th anniversary of the caroling initiative (it started in 1916), and it takes place Dec. 1 – 24.
Getting involved is easy. All you do is sign up and go door to door with friends and family singing holiday carols and collecting money for the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children, a facility providing affordable, high-quality child care to at-risk children.
Just let Fannie Battle know where you’d like to carol (you can request specific neighborhoods). After receiving your caroling bags — complete with song sheets and instructions — gather your group, don your gay apparel and warm up your pipes! Most of all, have fun with your family while supporting local children.
Register now for Fannie Battle Caroling for Kids by calling 615-228-6745 or going to fanniebattle.org/caroling.
