Registration is now open for Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s Franklin Youth Basketball Leagues. Ages 5 – 17 experience all-county play as they improve skills, sportsmanship and build relationships with players in other communities.
Players must be 5 – 17 years old as of Aug. 31, 2018, and must provide a copy of their birth certificate. The player fee is $100 (includes uniform), payable upon registration. All registration is online at wcparksandrec.com and concludes Oct. 14 — season runs Dec. – Feb. Mandatory drafts take place either Oct. 22 or Oct. 23 depending on age.
Practices take place at Franklin area schools beginning in November, while home games are at Academy Park Gym, the Franklin Recreation Complex (1120 Hillsboro Road), Winstead Elementary School (4080 Columbia Pike) and Pearre Creek Elementary School (1811 Townsend Blvd.). Away games take place at various locations throughout Williamson County.
