Worried you don't have baby's car seat installed correctly? Maybe you're expecting and want to learn how to do it right from the start. Come to the FREE Car Seat Safety Wednesday, July 25 from 10 – 11 a.m. In partnership with Kohl's Cares, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt launches an initiative called Kohl's Stay Seat Smart Program. The program offers a Car Seat Safety Class for expectant/new mothers, elementary school parents, daycare staff/parents and foster care agencies. Participants enjoy a one-hour Care Seat Safety PowerPoint Presentation that focuses on crash statistics, types of seats and their parts, and best installation practices. Take home information regarding resources for car seat selection, installation and Tennessee State Law, too. In addition, there's a giveaway for two brand new, convertible car seats! This free event is a fun way to insure safe rides for your babies and small children. The class is held at the Enrichment Center (110 Everbright Ave., Franklin).
