Free Fishing for Kids in June

Calling all kids for complimentary angling in Sumner County for one day only!

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) hosts free fishing rodeos for kids on Saturday, June 10, including two spots in Sumner County.

Kids 14 & younger can cast lines at Memorial Park in Hendersonville from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Ages 3 – 17 can fish from 1 – 5 p.m. at Westmoreland City Lake.

In addition, Hendersonville Parks hosts a free Special Needs Kids Fishing Rodeo at Memorial Park on Friday, June 9 from 5 – 9 p.m. It’s open to all ages with any kind of mental or physical special need.   

Kids should bring their own poles and tackle; bait will be provided.
