Free Workshops Teach How Local Government Works

Ever been curious about how local government works? The City of Gallatin will show you!

Growing out of requests from residents, Gallatin Government Institute was created to give an inside look at how the City of Gallatin government works.

Spread over six Thursday evenings, May 12 through June 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., participants ages 18 and older will have a chance to meet the Mayor, leadership from each department and hear how their efforts support the city’s priorities. You will also hear from Council members as they talk about how they deliberate.

The six-week course will be capped off by a graduation ceremony at a City Council meeting. The Institute will be limited to 15 participants to facilitate more in-depth conversations.

Applications are due no later than close of business on Thursday, April 28. Those interested can find the registration form on the City’s website here For more information, call 615-451-5940, or email EDAinfo@Gallatintn.gov.
