Grand Ole Opry to Celebrate 99th Birthday

Attendees can also enjoy free live music and fun on the Opry Plaza, with events running all day on Saturday and Sunday.

The Grand Ole Opry is gearing up for a milestone celebration as it marks its 99th birthday from October 10 – 13, 2024, with a weekend of performances and special events.

Country music fans are invited to join the festivities, which will feature three nights of Opry shows, alongside free family-friendly activities on the Opry Plaza and exclusive ticketed events.

Over the course of the weekend, Opry members like Dailey & Vincent, The Gatlin Brothers, Crystal Gayle, Lorrie Morgan, and Rhonda Vincent will take the stage, along with Grammy-winner Gretchen Wilson, Opry NextStage alums Riley Green and Chapel Hart, and Opry debut of actress-singer Katharine McPhee. Attendees can also enjoy free live music and fun on the Opry Plaza, with events running all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Opry 99th Birthday Special Events:

  • Karaoke Fundraiser with Chapel Hart (Oct. 11, 9:45 p.m.)
    Following Friday’s Opry show, fans can purchase tickets for a special karaoke fundraiser hosted by Chapel Hart in Studio A. Proceeds will go to the Opry Trust Fund, which provides financial aid to members of the country music industry in times of need.
  • Rhett Akins Birthday Tailgate Performance (Oct. 12, 2 p.m.)
    On Saturday, country hitmaker Rhett Akins will perform at an exclusive Birthday Tailgate Party, where fans can sing along to his hits, enjoy birthday cake and celebrate with fellow country music lovers.
  • Opry Community Day (Oct. 13, 9 a.m.)
    The weekend wraps up on Sunday with the third annual Opry Community Day, offering free backstage tours to Tennessee locals. This event gives fans an insider’s look at the iconic venue. Free tours will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a valid Tennessee ID.

Exclusive Birthday Packages are still available and include an Opry show ticket, access to the Rhett Akins Tailgate Party, a backstage tour, picnic lunch and a commemorative 99th birthday poster.
