Salt rooms and caves have sprung up in our area, and maybe it’s time to give it a try. We’ll do anything just to relax from the chaos of everyday life, right? Taking a treatment in a salt room is called halotherapy, and, according to Healthline, it’s an alternative health treatment that involves relaxation and breathing in salty air.
Healthline reports that sitting in salty air is helpful for respiratory conditions, such as asthma, chronic bronchitis and allergies. Other benefits include easing depression and anxiety and curing certain skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and acne.

Up to 10 adults can use the salt room in a standard 45-minute session. Temperature’s maintained around 70 – 72 degrees and light blankets are available. Salt rooms for kids include toys, a projector for entertainment and plenty of salt. Kid/family therapy rooms are used for 45-minute sessions. Private salt rooms (30-minute sessions) feature lit Himalayan salt panels and sconces. Social salt rooms have several chairs for lounging and dim lighting. Choose from Adirondack chairs, patio spring chairs aor a zero gravity chair. Salted Peace’s salt generator releases crushed salt into the air.
