A new sensory room has been created as part of the Children’s Library in Hendersonville Public Library.
The room has calming lights, toys and educational equipment to spark their interest and to give the child a comforting and relaxing place to calm down if needed, explore or read. This room is available to all children needing a quiet place and geared especially for children on the Autism Spectrum or with other special needs.
The new sensory room is not meant to be a general play area within the library, but instead a safe, calm place to address any needs that may arise with a child with any extra needs while visiting the library.
Hendersonville Public Library is located at 140 Saundersville Rd in Hendersonville. For more information. visit youseemore.com/hendersonville.
