Where Every Family Matters

Jeni’s Solar Eclipse Ice Creams

Scoop shops in Middle Tennessee will break out new, cosmic flavors on March 28.

While the coming solar eclipse on Monday, April 8 won’t be total for Middle Tennessee, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is totally into it! Nashville will see 95 percent of the sun’s face covered by the moon. Although that’s not a total eclipse, you can still watch with a celebratory scoop. Jeni’s Nashville scoop shops will offer galactic decor and a new taste collection — Punk Stargonaut — beginning March 28.

Three new flavors make up the collection: Nebula Berry (raspberry and elderflower); Cosmic Bloom (mandarin/kiwi/passion fruit); and Purple Star Born (grape/currants). In addition, a fourth flavor is coming back with Supermoon (candied violet and marshmallows). All of these space-themed flavors can be topped with Space Dust, ($0.50) a fizzing popping candy flavor explosion. Top with Space Dust for free on eclipse day only.
Beginning the weekend of April 5, Jeni’s will give out exclusive branded eclipse glasses, complimentary with a purchase.
Local participating scoop shops include: Jeni’s East Nashville; Jeni’s 12 South; Jeni’s at the Nashville Farmer’s Market and Jeni’s Hillsboro Village. In downtown Nashville, get your scoops at Jeni’s 5th & Broadway. And in Williamson County, head to Jeni’s Brentwood or Jeni’s Factory at Franklin.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is an artisanal ice cream company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Jeni’s has more than 80 ice cream shops and retail distributors in the US.
