Lifeguard Training Early Bird Class

It's cold outside, but now's the time to think about signing your teen up for a certified lifeguard training course!

If your 15-year-old (or older) loves the water and keeping kids safe, a lifeguard certification could be the next thing he should get. The Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) offers an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training early bird course Feb. 19 – 24 — registration opens Saturday, Jan. 26 and there are only 10 spots available. You must register in person at the Aquatics office at the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC) beginning at noon. Students must be 15 on or before the final day of the course. Classes meet Feb. 19, 20, 22 (Tue, Wed, Fri) from 4 – 9 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 24 from 1 – 6 p.m. Cost, which includes all materials, is $125. The course takes place at ISC (920 Heritage Way, Brentwood). For more information, contact Kristin Pitts at 615-370-3471, ext. 2122, or Kristin.Pitts@williamsoncounty-tn.gov.
