Where Every Family Matters

Madame Tussauds Comes to Nashville

The world-famous wax museum adds a new U.S. location right here in Nashville! It's opening spring 2017 at Opry Mills with an all-music theme.

Here’s something to put on your local site-seeing radar: Madame Tussauds opens its newest wax attraction at Opry Mills in spring 2017.

There are currently 21 Madame Tussauds locations across the globe — one in Australia, eight in Asia, six in Europe and six in the United States (Hollywood, New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando and D.C.).

The Nashville location will be Madame Tussauds first music-themed attraction celebrating the city’s and country’s iconic figures and music through a “Soundtrack of America” theme. The wax museum will give visitors a historical walk through America’s musical past and present with vivid scenes supporting the colorful cast of figures.

“We couldn’t be more excited to open the first Madame Tussauds in Tennessee in a little over a year,” says Ben Thompson, senior marketing director for Merlin Entertainment Group, the company that owns and operates Madame Tussauds. “This fun and unique attraction will highlight milestone moments from historical to contemporary music — both from around the country and in Nashville,” he adds.

Three of the music stars already announced to be immortalized in wax at the Nashville location are Johnny Cash, Carrie Underwood and Stevie Wonder. There will be more than 45 others in the collection, and the family-friendly attraction will offer guests an interactive experience — you and your kids will be able to see, touch, feel and photograph the figures as you step into immersive iconic scenes and musical performances.
