Having kids at home this summer is no easy feat — especially with recent economic stressors and purse strings tightening — so Michaels just unveiled two new FREE summer craft camps: Safari Saturdays and Camp Creatology.
These in-store and at-home program options allow all kids the chance to experience the joy of creativity, while also giving families a well-needed break.
Safari Saturdays
Safari Saturdays, available every Saturday in July from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at your local Michaels store, offer kids the chance to unleash their wild side through hands-on, animal-inspired crafts—no registration fee or supply purchase required. Each session is guided by in-store instructors and features high-quality materials, all provided free of charge.

Camp Creatology
Camp Creatology returns with a new flexible format to fit busy families’ summer schedules. From July 7th through July 11th and July 14th through July 18th, kids can dive into exciting crafting projects through live online classes (Monday – Friday at 2 p.m.), on-demand sessions and self-guided activities – all from the comfort of home or wherever they may be.
Camp Creatology weekly projects include:
