The Wang Vision 3D Cataract and LASIK Center — also known as Wang Vision Institute (WVI), founded in 2002 — is a state-of-the-art laser vision surgery facility boasting a complete array of corneal imaging systems in town with its international reputation for specialty in the management of complications after LASIK vision correction surgery.
Ming Wang, M.D., Ph.D., is the center’s founding director. He’s Harvard and MIT eduated with his doctoral degree in laser physics. Wang is responsible for introducing bladeless (Intralase) LASIK — the most state-of-the-art LASIK technology — to Tennessee, and he’s also the inventor of a new biotechnology designed to restore vision in patients with reduced vision due to corneal disease.
Wang and the WVI staff doctors offer world-class laser vision correction to patients from more than 40 states in the U.S. and 55 countries worldwide.
On Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m., Wang hosts a free vision seminar where adults can learn about the different 3D laser eye procedures available, and he’s getting the message out that you’re never too old for these kinds of vision correction surgeries.
The seminar will include information about 3D LASIK (18+), 3D Laser Kamra (45+), 3D Forever Young Lens Surgery (50+) and 3D Laser Cataract Surgery (60+). Complimentary pizza will be served, and Wang will also sign copies of his autobiography, From Darkness to Sight. Proceeds from book sales benefit the non-profit Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration.
The seminar takes place at Embassy Suites Hotel, 1811 Broadway, Nashville. Parking is available in the garage on 18th Avenue behind Palmer Plaza. Parking will be validated. In addition, every attendee is eligible for $1,200 in savings if they sign up for a procedure, and save 25 percent by bringing two or more guests.
To register for the seminar, call Suzanne at 615-321-8881, ext. 108, or e-mail her at suzanne@wangvisioninstitute.com.
