All ages can enjoy carnival games and Halloween fun at Murfreesboro Little Theatre’s (MLT) Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 – 6 p.m. After you enjoy the day and visiting vendor booths, take advantage of the pay-what-you-can offer for the night’s showing of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at 7 p.m.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a spooky classic story by Washington Irving. It has all the thrills, chills and laughs that keep young audiences on the edge of their seats, too. The storybook tale revolves around the main characters — the bumbling, awkward schoolteacher, Ichabod, the coquettish Katrina and Ichabod’s brutish rival, Brom Bones. There are also six characters who play storytellers who keep the action and pace moving throughout. This adaptation remains dedicated to the spirit of the original work yet expertly involves young people with lots of suspense and comedy. Performed outdoors, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will also be accompanied by other campfire stories!
MLT is located at 702 Ewing Blvd., Murfreesboro. Call 615-893-9825 or visit mltarts.com.
