Families can frolic in the floral fields at Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville for the annual Tennessee Tulips in Bloom event, happening on Thursdays – Sundays, now through April 13.

Over 1 million bulbs are planted, making it the largest tulip farm experience in the Southeast. The springtime extravaganza offers a fresh flower picking experience, as well as a gorgeous backdrop for your family photos.
This past weekend the tulips were picturesque, but the fields were not yet fully bloomed, so I imagine the next two weekends will be the ideal times to go (Pro tip: check the Lucky Ladd Facebook for updates and bloom statuses on the tulips.).
There are rows upon rows of gorgeous tulips to walk through and two different tulip fields on the property (the second is beyond the slides). We took our 4-year-old and 19-year-old and the whole family had fun picking flowers for a vibrant bouquet that we took home. There was plenty of space to take photos without crowds lingering in the background.
They provide flower baskets to put your tulips in as you walk through the fields and then staff wraps them up nicely for you to take home. Each flower is $2.50 and they also have vases available for purchase if you prefer to take them home in water. Also, if you carefully pull the flower up by the root you may even get the bulb, which you could then use to plant your own mini tulip farm at home.
More than tulips!
Your ticket to see the tulip festival also gives you access to the rest of the farm and if you haven’t been to Lucky Ladd yet, you are missing out. This is also the perfect time to go because there are freshly born baby animals to see. My toddler loved the baby goats! There are so many adorable animals to pet, feed and view — llamas, goats, sheep, mini cows and more.
There are endless activities for the kids, including tractor rides, pony rides, giant slides and feeding birds, turtles and rabbits. We spent about two hours there which gave us enough time to walk around, enjoy the activities and pick a bouquet.
I highly recommend a visit during the farm’s tulip season so you can take home some beautiful flowers alongside the family memories. Their Tennessee Tulip Festival event happen April 5 & 6.
Tickets for Tennessee Tulips in Bloom start online at $12 for ages two and older. Ages two and under are free. For more information, visit here.
