Where Every Family Matters

Murfreesboro 9/11 Heroes Run Returns this Saturday

Funds and awareness will be raised for America's unsung heroes and create a run experience like no other in the area.

The Travis Manion Foundation is once again hosting the Murfreesboro 9/11 Heroes Run this Saturday, September 9, 2023. Race Day features a 5K run/walk, 5K RUCK and one-mile fun run/walk. The bagpipe and colors procession will start around 7:30 with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

The 9/11 Travis Manion race series is dedicated to uniting communities to remember the lives lost on 9/11, as well as to honor our veterans, military and first responders who dedicate their lives to serving others.

The race begins in downtown Murfreesboro with a starting location on East Vine Street in front of the City Hall. Runners turn onto Academy Street and then East Main, eventually heading back up East Main and around the square to end on the West Main side of the Historic County Courthouse.

Funds raised honor the service and sacrifice of first responders and military heroes and supports programs and initiatives, like Character Does Matter, which ensure that veterans, military families of the fallen and their communities prosper.
