FEATURED MUSIC EVENT FOR KIDS:

THE GOLD RUSH: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL ADVENTURE

Saturday, March 14 – TO BE RESCHEDULED
Schermerhorn Symphony Center
1 Symphony Place, Nashville
615-687-6400 | nashvillesymphony.org
Showtime: 11 a.m.
Tickets: $16 – $35

Experience a wonderfully wild foray into the landscape of American composers when the Nashville Symphony takes you and your kids on a musical adventure into the Wild West! It’s a search for gold during this Family Series installment, The Gold Rush: An American Musical Adventure.

“The show’s premise starts when gold has been discovered in California, and my character, Rico the Roughrider, is looking for adventurous young folks to join him on the trail across America,” says Nashville Symphony Principal Pops Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yanez. Expect to hear the music of greats like John Philip Sousa, Rossini, Copland and others.

It’s a sensory-friendly environment, and be sure to arrive an hour early so your kids can enjoy lots of hands-on activities prior to the 11 a.m. concert. They are free and include fun like story readings, a hands-on musical intrument petting zoo, games, crafts and more.
