Nashville Ballet’s Family Day With “Carnival of the Animals”

Come out on Saturday, March 23 for animal fun, family activities and dance!

The Nashville Ballet will bring whimsy and fun this weekend to their annual Family Day featuring “Carnival of the Animals” on Saturday, March 23. The good times will happen at the Martin Center for Nashville Ballet, located at 3630 Redmon Street in Nashville. Performances take place at 12:30 p.m. followed by three additional performances at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. in Studio A.

About Carnival of the Animals

“Carnival of the Animals” is a musical suite of movements centered on animals created by French composer Camille Saint-Saens. Nashville Ballet’s NB2 artists will perform in costume as playful characters, each representing a different animal from the swan to the mischievous kangaroo.

Family Day Activities

In addition, Family Day with the ballet features activities for all to enjoy throughout the center. Kids can hear Sleeping Beauty storytimes, enjoy a musical petting zoo, a circus obstacle course, improv jam, movement classes, a photo booth and crafts. For children requiring it, an area has been designated as a sensory-friendly quiet zone.

Tickets to Family Day at the Ballet are $25 (with $3.75 fees). Get yours now here.
