Celebrate Mother’s Day with an afternoon tea at Café 29 featuring tableside service and a menu of seasonal teas, savory bite-sized sandwiches, and freshly baked sweets for parties of 2 or 4 people. Cost is $50.
3. Mother’s Day Hootenanny
Saturday, May 10 | 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Join at Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary (545 Beech Creek Road, Brentwood) from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for a family-friendly Mothers’ Day Hootenanny starring award-winning Americana songwriter and musician Farmer Jason (also known as Jason Ringenberg of Jason and the Scorchers). For over 20 years, Farmer Jason has been delighting audiences with songs about farm life, nature and animals. His fun and engaging performances include sing-alongs, dancing and lessons about ecology and nature geared towards children 2 – 8 years old. Arrive early to visit the owls and enjoy hands-on kids’ activities. Music starts at 11 am.
4. Make a Card for Mom!

Kids of all ages are invited to join us in the Children’s Activity Room at Franklin Library (1314 Columbia Ave., Franklin) to make a card to give to Mom on Mother’s Day from 2 – 3 p.m. Parents should stay with children.
5. Mother’s Day Butterfly Release
Saturday, May 10 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Join the Discovery Center (502 SE Broad St., Murfreesboro) for a magical day about all things butterflies from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy a butterfly release at noon, live performances by popular YouTuber Rebbie Rye at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m., butterfly-themed crafts & activities, plus chalk art on the patio!
6. Jazz on the Cumberland (Mother’s Day Edition)

The popular — and FREE — Jazz On The Cumberland concert series returns this Mother’s Day at Cumberland Park (592 S. First St., Nashville). Bring your favorite blanket or lawn chair to enjoy some of the best local, regional and national jazz artists performing live at this family- and pet-friendly event.
