Each year, Nashville Opera on Tour brings a production just for youngsters to various locations in the community. This year, Nashville Opera presents its first bilingual children’s opera, BEAR HUG/ABRAZO DE OSO.
It tells the story of four bears from different countries and how they discover they are more alike than unalike. The show includes music from traditional Spanish operas.

The first show on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Opera Center is a sensory-friendly performance requiring advance registration (free snacks and coloring available starting at 1 p.m.). Catch the show at one of these locations (free unless otherwise noted):
• Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.: Noah Liff Opera Center, Nashville
• Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10 & 11:30 a.m.: Williamson County Library, Franklin
• Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m.: Nashville Zoo (gate fee required: $18 adults, $13 ages 2-12)
• Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m.: Donelson Library
• Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m.: Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Nashville
• Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.: Belle Meade Plantation, Nashville
• Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m.: Edmondson Library, Nashville
• Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m.: Casa Azafran, Nashville
