Nashville Parent’s ‘Things to Do’ wins the gold award again! At the annual Parenting Media Association annual conference held recently in Chicago, Nashville Parent took home the Gold for best Calendar of Events. Nashville’s “Things to Do” family calendar continues its award-winning legacy that began many years ago. Michael Aldrich, current Managing and Entertainment Editor for Day Communications, delivers “Things to Do” each month. Additionally, Aldrich scored a Gold editorial award for his “Dad Beat” editor’s note which appears in print every other month.
Nashville Parent’s ‘Things to Do’ Wins the GOLD Award — Again!
Nashville Parent is no stranger to awards. The publication, which began in 1993, has won awards from the country’s top trade organization since its inception. Led by longtime Editor in Chief Susan Day, the magazines continue to win awards for excellence in editorial and design.
“We are steeped in the Nashville goings on, and we’ve been here through the amazing transformation from small town to ‘IT’ town,” Day says. “We are thrilled to deliver the highest quality content possible in the calendar of events category. There’s so much going on in this town, we really work hard to keep up! Many try to compete, but we keep our nose to the grind stone. Additional awards won by Nashville, Rutherford and Williamson Parent magazine for 2024 include a Gold award for Best Overall Social Media Strategy and a Bronze award for Best stock cover. University of Missouri School of Journalism judges look for the best in local and regional parenting publications, special issues, websites and social media each year.
